Sheikha Almayassa's TED Talk About culture.   

 Globalizing the local, localizing the global was the title of her talk. Sheikha Al mayassa talked about different aspects of the Qatari culture and touched upon important notions. She talked about the Qatari identity and Qatar plans to the world in adequacy and a way that attracts people to want to know about the Arab and Qatari culture. 

Sheikha Almayassa talked about many important arguments and one of them is developing the country while maintaining the Qatari identity, she wants to break the walls between the east and the west in order for all people to learn from and about each other. “We don’t want to be all the same, but we want to respect each other and understand each other” said Sheikha Almayassa, about building an organic relationship with the world. The second thing she focused on, is the influential role of women now a days in our society for future generations and how powerful women are becoming through being leaders and representatives to our culture identity. Furthermore, these two arguments attracted me the most because she has delivered what we all want to say and show to others, we want to show them that women in the Arab world has her achievements and is indeed capable of doing anything. Also, the fact that Qatar is trying its best to maintain its culture and identity indicates rationality in that improvements doesn’t necessarily mean losing your identity. In the end, I believe that Qatar is following the right track that many countries wish to be able to follow.
