Qatar Vision 2030

Qatar Vision 2030

In this blog, I will be talking about two of the coming projects that will fulfil Qatar’s vision for 2030. The first project is Lusail City and the second is Qatar Rail, I chose to talk about these two in specific because these are the most I’m excited about and they are going to be completed very soon.

Lusail City

Lusail City is one of the largest sustainable cities in Doha with its astonishing concepts and modernity it is the typical illustration of what Qatar’s vision in 2030. The city extends across an area of 38 km and has four islands, one of them is Qetaifan island where luxurious waterfront living meets and where people can relax and enjoy spa treatments, tennis courts and pools. Furthermore, Lusail City is going to have entertainment and commercial districts with breathtaking architectural construction, commercial towers and avenues. This project will be completed by 2019 which is very exciting. I personally would love to live in a city like this where joy and comfort meet.

Qatar Rail

The population of Qatar’s citizens is increasing every year and with the world cup 2022 coming the streets will be full of traffic. Therefore, the metro will facilitate transportation around the city and will put up an end for traffic. Doha is a small country and most of the cities are close to each other but with traffic it could take you 30- 40 minutes to reach a place that is 10-15 minutes away from you. For instance, Qatar University is 15 minutes away from my house and sometimes with heavy traffic it takes me 40 minutes to reach it but going by the metro it will only take maximum of 4 minutes. The metro will be available to the public by 2020 and it will facilitate transportation for most people in Doha and will save up a lot of time wasted in traffic. I cannot wait to get rid of being stuck in traffic every morning.
